Glass pocket doors along the swimming pool slide away and the residence opens up brilliantly towards the blue sea and blazing sunsets, while refreshing cool ocean breezes blow in off the ocean.
During winter whale watch season this is a perfect place to enjoy the sunshine while gazing over the open ocean for tail or fin flaps, breeches, and other exciting natural entertainment.
The sweeping view of picturesque off-shore islands, indoor swimming pool, waterfall, and spa, combined with upscale all new interior furnishings are all very pleasing. An extensive remodel completed just 3 years ago incorporated designer furnishings with warm tones and tropical island motif.
Wailele is essentially a one level home with only a few stairs and is set directly at the ocean's edge, although safe access into the ocean is not available at this property. Within a few minutes drive or a comfortable 4 block walk are many famous and convenient sandy swimming beaches of West Maui including Kapalua Beach, Napili Beach, Ironwoods Beach, and the "Ritz Carlton" Beach originally known as D.T. Fleming Beach Park. Many of the charming sandy swimming beaches nearby provide some public facilities including restrooms, showers, and picnic tables. The famed Honolua Bay, a perfect surfing break and snorkeling cove is within a few minutes drive. Located very close to this home is Napili Plaza where you may pick up fully prepared BBQ meals, shop for groceries, grab an espresso, a bouquet of flowers, or browse local arts and crafts. The Lahaina to Kapalua coastline hosts abundant first class restaurants many with panoramic vistas, 5 spectacular golf courses at Kapalua and Kaanapali, and a wee bit of night life at several bars in Lahaina. Art night on Fridays makes for a perfect afternoon stroll through downtown Lahaina taking in the dozens of galleries, visitor oriented shops, and local historic landmarks.
