Oahu Lani Beach House is a 16,000 square foot, two-story 10 bedroom luxury villa cloistered behind electronic entry gates on a lush tropical acre of landscaped grounds that open directly onto three miles of reef-protected white sands at Kailua Beach on the island of Oahu.
The 10 bedroom, 9.5 bath luxury villa was designed in an elongated, two-story "U" shape around a huge central courtyard which contains a heated pool, a poolside Jacuzzi, air conditioning, high speed wireless service, and two children's wading pools. Included in the rates are Private Chef services for breakfast and dinner DAILY as well as all food and beverage costs, excluding alcoholic drinks. Guests may plan their menu in coordination with the Private Chef including such delicacies as lobster and caviar.
Kailua Beach is located on the East (Windward) coast of Oahu at a distance of approximately 15 miles across the Koolau Mountains from Honolulu International Airport and Waikiki Beach. This serene residential area has no hotels or vacation rental condos and its reef-protected, white-sand beach is consistently ranked among the very best in the USA by the Travel Channel and by readers of Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure Magazines. The lagoon-like torquoise waters off-shore are ideal for swimming, kayaking, and windsurfing. Surfing, snorkel and dive sites are scattered along the Oahu coastline. Windward Oahu offers several golf courses, tennis facilities, water sports activities, a variety of restaurants, grocery stores, theaters, a shopping mall and the consumer services typical of most suburban areas.
Back at Oahu Lani Beach House....from the moment of entry to the property via a cul-de-sac in a quiet residential neighborhood through the electronic gates along the gently curving driveway bordered by lush foliage and vibrant tropical flowers, to the impressive two-story porte cochere entry, there is an ever-growing sense of being swept into a special experience. An expansive patio is set in the courtyard with lounging furniture, tables and umbrellas for outdoor activities, and plentiful space for dining and entertaining. The expansive design of Oahu Lani Beach House seamlessly blends the most functional and appealing aspects of large social gathering areas with spacious, yet intimately private, bedroom suites that are arranged to make the villa an ideal choice for multi-generation family reunions or corporate retreats. The lower level of the villa contains the primary living, dining, service and entertainments areas and three of the bedroom suites - with all rooms having direct access to the pool, spa and courtyard area via exterior doors and covered walkways. The upper level of the villa is comprised of the other seven bedroom suites - most of which have superb views, lanais and some have both interior and exterior hallway and/or covered walkway access.
The main living and dining areas are situated facing the ocean on the lower level of the villa and utilize a semi-open floor plan which allows for easy movement between the areas. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors on both the ocean and on the poolside of a central seating area can be opened to allow for unobstructed views from the pool/courtyard area and for direct access to the front lawn and to Kailua Beach.
The generously sized main living room, on the South corner of the lower level, has two-story glass walls facing the ocean and beach and has comfortable array of plush seating. Adjoining the living room there is a media/entertainment area with a wet bar, large screen TV, VCR, CD/DVD and a computer station with high speed internet access and a printer/fax/copier. Just down the hallway from the media/entertainment area is a game room with a ping-pong table, exercise mats, numerous books, games, boogie boards, surf board, beach mats, umbrellas and other water sports equipment.
The North corner of the lower level features an oceanfront dining room with main-table seating for 12 persons and an additional table with seating for 8 persons; a large, center-island gourmet kitchen with all the accoutrements required for preparation of scrumptious in-villa culinary delights and has double sinks, ovens, refrigerator/freezers and dishwashers to facilitate the needs of guests, chefs and staff. The kitchen is also conveniently located to allow for easy preparation and service for the outdoor, poolside dining and BBQ areas.
The grand-scale master bedroom suite (the Mahina Suite) exudes the warm ambiance of amber-hued hardwood floors, a peaked cathedral ceiling and full-panel glass walls which provide views of the pool and courtyard on one side and views over the beach and Kailua Bay from the seating area on the ocean side of the suite. The marble master bath includes double closets, dual sinks, a separate tub and shower and a private lanai with its own hot tub overlooking the pool area. The oceanview office which adjoins the master suite is equipped with a desk, high-speed internet access, a printer/copier/fax machine and has a queen day bed which also makes the room viable for use as a nursery or as sleeping quarters for a small child requiring proximity to parents.
Oahu Lani Beach House contains nine additional bedroom suites, most of which have en-suite private baths; some which interconnect to accommodate the needs of related family member; one of which (the Keiki Suite) is specifically designed as children's bunk room with a bath which connects to the adjoining nanny's quarters (the Luau Suite) and which offers a choice of themed appointments; and, one large poolside suite (the Hawaiiana Suite) which has its own private entry. Each of the bedroom suites has a TV, VCR and/or DVD, individually controlled air-conditioning and is furnished with custom-dyed bed covers and with high-quality Egyptian cotton linens and towels. Guests will receive the support and services of both non-resident and resident staff. Non-resident staff includes: housekeepers to provide daily maid service; a chef to prepare and serve an expanded Continental breakfast and dinner each day; a personal Concierge to assist with pre-trip arrangements and with on-site activities and services planning; and, pool/spa/gardening vendors who will perform their respective services on a pre-arranged schedule. A caretaker couple lives on-site in separate quarters above the three-car garage which is located across the driveway courtyard from the main entry to Oahu Lani Beach House. The caretakers' primary role is to oversee vendor services coordination for the maintenance and upkeep of the physical facilities and equipment at Oahu Lani Beach House and to assist with answering guest questions regarding the operation or scheduling of those items and services.
